| I saw Nash get knocked back by half backs. For the size of the guy it shouldn't be happening and I know hes only a baby and he does have time on his side but he just looked below super league level for me. Agree with what you say about cashmere and stapo tho, didn't give us as much as they did last week , thought wakey's pack stood them up quite well, we need to be more than a one trick pony

| Well Wakey sunday..........
We started too slowly, they deserved their 19-0 lead at half time we were poor, 2nd half we were better, wakey were playing for time most of the 2nd half taking ages to restart play giving their forwards lots of rest.
We got desperate towards the end spilt a bit of ball and Wakey killed us off.
Individually think Henry looked a bit suspect but he is playing out of position so you cant bag him too much at the moment, Regarding the the Alker v Paul battle i recon Round 2 goes to Paul, Alker looked sluggish today conpaired to Celtic and Paul looked a lot better, not fab by all means but he certainly asked a few more questions of Wakeys defence.
Anyway role on Castleford.........lets hope we dont start like we did against wakey.

| Got to agree about Nash, still doesn't convince me, think Jewwitt would give us more power coming of the bench, he is always enthusiastic & he has aggression (Iknow,!!! too much sometimes)but he is what the team needs although he can be a little hotheaded he does make yards when he goes forward.
Nash didn't get much game time last year, due to injuries most of it, so I can't see how he warrents being in the team rather than Jewwitt or Sidlow who played plenty of games last season, but McRea must see somethig we fans don't.

| I don't understand the negativity people have about Nash at the minute, i honestly don't think we looked any weaker when he was on the field plus he's a young lad with bags of potential and will only get better the more games he plays in and against a better class of opposition. Isnt this what the 3 year licence is all about??
As for the game- yes we were woefull in the 1st half and Wakey more than deserved their win but on a positive front even though we were terrible for the majority of the game if Sibbits try had been allowed then it was game on and anything could have happened. To have had a chance of getting something out of the game when we played that poorly must be a positive and something Mcrae can work on.
Most of us know its going to be a long season and they'll be a few more games like Sunday im sure but we know where were weak and can work on it. Its a simple fact that a lot of the other teams are better than us at this stage and its going to take time (and patience) to catch them up!

| Tommo2 - thank god for some optimism - you read this thread and you'd think the sky had fallen in. I think Steve Nash has looked fine both games - better at Wakefield than against Celtic - shh don't say it too loudly, but could he be improving?

Interesting to go to that site and do the head to head comparison of Stuart Littler vs Willie Talau - then ask who needs to up their game? The numbers don't lie!!!!!

I might be mistaken (ill hold my hands up if i am) but Wakeys 2nd to last try, knocked the ball on about 30yrd from our line, from the resulting scrum they crashed over and killed the game.
All im saying is we tried to push the pass and it backfired.
Also watching Boots and all, showed Sibbits Disallowed try,Cullen analysis was abit confusing on why it was disallowed.
I dont speak Cullen but what i got was :
" The touch judge thought it was a try, the in goal judge thought it was too, but the referee looked to the far touch judge who was looking for somthing else and it was a good decition"
