I can't remember him doing anything on Saturday, he has really declined in the last 2 years, TS was right to get rid of him. People and pundits alike keep saying he's still the best British centre which is compleate nonsense, he's not even the best centre at Wigan.

His best years are long behind him...

he served us well. that should not be forgotten

Of-course Dawson, I will never forget that game....That was his home debut in a pre-season friendly against Salford where he scored 5 trys.

On current form, do we need Atkins???



I think Bridge, and particularly King have been amazing recently - Bridge has found a new lease of life....And once we've got Myler, Grix will be able to back up as centre as well....So do we need him???

None of them are out and out right centres as the likes of Matt Gidley, I would rather see Bridge and Grix at 6 or/and 13.

Neither is Atkins.



I would be happy to see Bridge as our first choice right centre next year but could understand getting someone else in if they can do a better job.



EDIT - oh are you saying Atkins isn't either and we should be looking to bring someone else in?

King will probably go onto the wing IF Atkins signs.

We've only seen Atkins at left centre, maybe he can play on the right, equally well, like say a Shenton y'know ?
