I know Widnes are our the closest distance to us but I so want them to beat Saints today.



Not only will it mean that one of our rivals for honours would be 3 points behind us, I would have a field day with all the Saints fans at work who spent the last 16 years telling me how rubbish Wire were and it would never be the 'Year of the Wolf'.

I'd like to see a Widnes win too. The Hock debut should add a bit of spice to the game and will certainly put a few on what should be a pretty healthy gate.

It's got wooden spoon 4-pointer written all over it.

It will be top if Widnes can pull a win off, but Sts will be up for it will listen on radio with interest.

My prediction before the season was that Saint would get a hammering in 4 (maybe 5) games. Last week was number 1 ticked off but TBH I cant see this week being 2. Fancy Widnes to edge it though.

Common sense says Stains can't perform THAT bad, two weeks running.

However, Stains were SO bad, that the dross could be repeated again. They stunk the house out, and I've not seen poorer "tackling", since those Under 11's games that used to precede the main matches.



The Comics will be buoyed by a good away win last week, so owt's possible.

St Helens three points behind Warrington with 2 games gone in the season or Widnes a point ahead after two games. Whilst I heed what your saying Moe thinking longer term over 27 games its got to be a Widnes win. Shish, the thought of that shower being above us is making me shiver!!! Could you imagine it? There will be bunting out in the streets from lamppost to lamppost (well shapes cut out of the Widnes World but hey! At least it's in their colours).

Would like to see a Widnes win but it's not likely to happen. Stains by 22.

And when Widnes win and they start crowing about it, how long before you start hearing about 1989 and Canberra Raiders...
