For me, at 3:- At Salford about 5 years ago when the TA laid on a mock battle. Blanks firing, thunderflashes going off etc, it was like Saving Private Ryan.



At 2:- again about 5 seasons ago at Widnes with the "how to tackle a chip pan fire". Dramatic and useful. I could feel the heat off the flames where I was sat.



Number 1:- about the same time, Wolfie on the hovercraft, whizzing round the HJ. He looked terrified, hanging on for dear life in case his head came off, with one of those stiff scarves stuck out behind.



They never seem to have anything to match these days.

I liked it when the Royal Marines (?) abseiled from the roof of the HJ stadium. Think it was 2004/5.



The Salford game HT entertainment was v. poor. That goal kicking thing needs binning. Having said that I thought it was very clever how they managed to synchronise 12 dancers such that they were all out of step with each other

All you need is one stick, one ball, on set of posts and a willing volunteer.



Ask volunteer to spin around the stick 3 times and then try to kick a goal.



Endless hours of fun.

We are back on the "Bridge kicking" thread







On the entertainment front I've noticed how I (and lots of others) have enjoyed watching the youngsters play. All the tries were greeted with a big cheer.

Jedward anyone? So rubbish it was funny!

i could be biased my band played there once!

ray quinn was funny, forgetting the words then shouting barmy army in a grating scouse accent!

I think that the 'Kick the ball into the section with the correct answer' last year was best...

that was funny... cos no bugger won!

i was at leeds once and there was a similar game to what we have now and i have never seen anything so funny

he kicked the first ball at 20m and won a signed leeds shirt, gambled

he kicked the second ball at 30m and won a weekend away to any destination in europe, gambled

AND next the cocky bugger thought he could kick a conversion from 40m's to win a week in spain

....he failed and lost the lot!!!

Wolfie kicking off with that scruffy widnes mascot is one of best bits of entertainment i've ever seen

I like seeing the little kids play. The Marines and the fire brigade demos were great too.
