It seems to me we've forgot we have a Derby this friday.



We may be sulking because we are Cr@p but we still need to turn up in numbers and sing our hearts out..



They're gonna Bring coach loads of Speccies and If the atmosphere is Like it was last friday we're gonna look Silly on the terrace as well as the field..

I would be surprised if the players didn't get a roasting after Friday.

I'd expect to see a reaction and Widnes have just shown in terms where they are really at.

They had an easy start and were in a false position.

We need a good confidence boosting win.

Bit unfair on Widnes that, they have beat whoever some good teams and are certainly a lot stronger this year, just hope the atmosphere is not as hostile as last season as that was a horrible game to bring the kids to.

I cant imagine it being hostile . As they will just be singing on there own

Really looking forward to this one alot. Definitely think Wire are favourites because of our injury crisis but who will be out for Warrington? Westwood?

Massive injury list but hopefully we can field the majority of these on friday and make a game of it.



Mellors the player we will miss the most, he's a class act. Looking forward to the atmosphere and think we will bring more this year, close to filling it but not quite. Been dissapointed with our turnout in recent years. Hope all the trouble stays away too.

Easy start? don't talk soft duckie, and we also went to catalan missing 10 players.

When you get to play a Wire team that can't buy a win at home.

I don't particularly view Widnes as a huge game, I think the derby bragging rights thing means more to them.. I just see it as another 2 points to play for.

Maybe it's them spending so long out of the top flight that has diluted my interest.

Agreed, they see this as a much bigger game than we do. I am not too bothered by them and am quite glad they are doing ok this season as would rather them in the league than London and the likes.



The atmosphere at the HJ last season was horrible though and am seriously not taking the kids on Friday as they didn't like it at all as some of their fans were animals!

I quite often like to stand in the away end.

Its more roomy than the south stand.

Last year however we all got moved out for our safety.

I don’t however blame the Widnes species totally for that, there was one steward in particular that was instrumental in what happened that day. He should never be allowed to marshall again and should have faced prosecution.

The atmosphere before that incident and outside the ground was horrible, both the stewards and the Widnes fans contributed to just a horrible atmosphere all game.

Biggest game of the year for mine. If things have been quiet in recent years, your have to say last year definitely rekindled the embers.



Expecting a bumper crowd and a passionate performance, but I won't hold my breath.
