Be realistic, we are not getting James Graham or any current Aussie or Kiwi test player then who is available ish and would be any better than what we have?

I don't follow the NRL closely or the Championship so don't have that many names. Can anyone make suggestions?

Millington at Cas, Watts at Hull, Anderson at Wakefield, Walker at Hull KR..... all streets ahead of England and Asotasi.. i bet there are a load more as well.

Whoever it is, the club needs to focus and get one in. We don't need a 'distraction purchase' - you know, someone who suddenly becomes available and can play in 12 different positions, the guy that is sitting on the shelf next to the check out while you queue up to pay " Only £50k and SO versatile, a bargain Mr Smith".

When the forwards are making ground and dominating there is room for the backs and hooker to play and scoot. We have not really seen that at Wire for a fair while since the days of Morley and Carvell. We are expecting our new HB to tear holes in the opposition next year, but it would be nice for the forwards to cause problems as well. Plus, if god forbid, Sandow has a lengthy injury stint .....

To be fair, we had Wood, Carvell, Morley and Hill at one point, but at the moment, there aren't many good british front row forwards available. Sadly.

Got any youngsters on the horizon? If so and you only need a stop gap for a year then you'd do worse than persuading Kylie Leuluai to put back his retirement by a year. He ain't half hitting hard at present. Ask Masoe.

Have we all forgotten about Ben Evans? I know he's injured at the moment but he was doing well before his injury and would expect him to progress next year.

I've heard the Burgess brothers are pretty good. Maybe the one called Sam would be a good one to go after ?

I thought he was a centre!



Anyway, I believe the final England RU squad is to be determined this Friday, so if Sam's not in it, get your cheque books ready.
