bit strange to announce the team for the biggest game of our season(in terms of crowd and rivalry and excitment) at a fans forum before the squad is even announced.

Why? Riley has played well in the past few games & certainly doesn't deserve to get dropped

Did Smith confirm this?!? I have a txt saying Carney will start on Saturday from a friend who has been tonight but he did say he didnt give a reason. Hicks is possibly carrying his injury still, maybe he needs a week or two out.

Unless Chris Riley is injured then this to me is a strange switch if true, firstly Chris Riley has been playing well and he`s also performed well against Saints in the past, surely if their was a game to bring Brian Carney into the team then it was against Celtic Crusaders last weekend.



If Chris Riley has a knock then fair enough, if he hasn`t then its a little unfair to drop a player for such a big game who has been in decent form.

tony smith never confirmed who carney is replacing whether it will be hicks or riley. The only reason TS confirmed carney will be playing is because he said it will be in the warrington guardian tomorrow.
