I know. It was a great gig they got down here.
As a twenty 3 year old though, with that much talent?

| I know this sounds like utter madness from a Warrington speccy but I wouldn't be disappointed to see him, his brother and Williams in a successful Crusaders team in the future. It would be good for the expansion of the game both for SL and for the welsh national side. If Wales could put out a side full of welsh players then the public might just get behind them. I didn't mind the fact that Eastmond is going to union as it would not be such a big loss to the game but to lose Evans to union in the future would be a massive missed opportunity for the good of game.

| I can see this love affair from the Wire fans ending badly if he does turn out to be a real talent, it's like when Rooney came through at Everton.
If he goes back and ends up playing RU in Wales, will Evans be the most hated Judas from our fans since Harris / Fozzard?

| Not the same thing. Money aside, Rooney left Everton because he knew he would never win anything at Everton. He left for a rival team, can't see Rhys doing the same, even if you include the finacial aspect.

Simon Moran said today "we dont let people go anymore that we want to keep"
Nick fozzard was a long time ago wasnt it....which player can we imagine losing to Saints, leeds or Wigan now...?
in previous years they'd have put big contracts in front of the likes of Ben Harrison and Ben Westwood to name just a couple...
whats the option..... play in poorly coached teams in mid table or play wrestle mania for the most boring anti-Rugby playing team in the world....."I'll take whatever your offering Tony"

| hells bells, more doom mongering
The only person who knows where Rhys will end up, is Rhys himself, yet posters on here are making his mind up for him.
Strewth, he's only played 5 first team games and some people are thinking he's a shoe in for MoS, International player of the year, and a Nobel prize. Let him develop as a Wire player. I'm sure IF his potential is proved, Mr Moran will have him contracted for a long period. Any subsequent move (IF it ever happens) to the 3 point code/NRL will envolve a very hefty tranfer fee. Life will go on.
You never know, Evans may just like playing for us. He may have this thing called loyalty. It has happened before
Going back to previous posts, Fozzard stuck out like a sore thumb in 03. A forward pack without much grunt, and a side going nowwhere....Fozzard stands out. Stains were in their pomp, and needed a go forward prop, so they got him.

...and on what authority do you have this "gem"
Ben might be at the club because of his rugby ability
We are running a Rugby League club, not a pals/brothers club. There's not enough room to be giving up places at clubs for talented youngsters relatives
