I'm not concerned one bit about this signing. He's openly said he doesn't want to leave the nrl and thinks he's good enough to play there. At the moment, nobody is willing to offer him a decent contract over there. He'll only be 28/29 after his 2 years with us. The way to get an nrl contract would be to rip it up in SL the way field and French have done.

If he is any good let's get him in now. But our defence is the biggest worry for me and this is a whole team problem.

This could be the worst signing ever with his comments about SL, the reasons why he was got rid of from St George and the Bulldogs. He's a player with defence, poor attitude and thinks hes bigger than SL. When two of the wooden spooners dont want you then its a red flag for me.

Cool, if he adds to us missing relegation then happy days. I hope he goes well for us and can hit the ground running. Also means he will know the club and unless homesick will be used to England and settled for next year so there'll be no settling in period for 2023

Kevin Naiqama had nothing good to say about SL as well and Laughed in an interview about him coming over here. Then when no NRL club were interested low and behold he was in super league And he did pretty well. I'm not worried by this at all

It’s a strange one. Thewlis is going to 1 next season and Powell has stated Ratchford will be at halfback. I can only imagine he’ll be fighting Ratchford for the right side.

Was keeping ratchford on for another 2 years a blow to our youth? If it's dufty or ratchford at 6 then I'll take dufty all day long. Hopefully ratchford is not going to be in the 17, but will just be cover if dufty or thewlis get injured.

If you're talking about Riley Dean here, have you seriously seen anything from him that makes you want him to be a regular starter in the side this or next season?



He definitely has potential, but he's a mile away from being a starter in a trophy challenging SL side - look at him in the Catalan game - was basically a passenger, while Williams did all the half back stuff.



For me, he needs a loan at a top2 Championship side, or a bottom 4 SL side (& yes, I know we are one right now, but I'd be hoping we aren't aspiring to be one long term

).

I'm hoping that the plan is to get the seasoned players in with the right attitude, who then act as role models to our youth development.



As has been said, I don't think our club problems are a quick fix, and I'd be disappointed if we were still bringing in overseas players in 2-3 years time in lieu of developing our own talent.
