I didn't 'abuse' the facilities, I queued for beers in the hottest offy in Great Britain, paid my money and took a load of Chupa Chups off their hands too (impulse purchase, by the till) as I had chosen the most ridiculous week ever to quit smoking. Then drank to my hearts content outside the Cricketers. I wasn't wasting precious time queuing at that woefully under-staffed bar!



Never would have dreamt that a year on, I'd be doing the same thing. Or that I'd have stayed off the fags, well done me.

You have the Crown pub near the train station and does good food aswell.Town centre is not too far from the ground, and the Imperial, and Wetherspoon are ok,and you have the Albion pub near the Traffic lights on Lowerhouse Lane.Alternatively you can go into the Widnes social club bar, where pints are reasonably priced.Have a good day and hope to see you at the Stobarts in 2012.

Look at the royal oak branch on knutsford road. There were tonnes of fans there on match days. whats that 14 matches a year...

I lived there for 20 years and can safely say too you that EVERY day and night without fail. The place is virtually dead apart from match days.
