Sad to hear about the Widnes fan baiting him. I was in the West when Mathers almost killed King and had to put up with Wiganers shouting that they hoped he ended up in a wheelchair - not nice.

Well have it how you will but Hep Cahill is not 'that type of player'. It was a poor, mistimed tackle and he should be punished for it.



It might be expected from Gareth Hock, or dare I say Morley or Westwood but not Cahill. He went for the big hit and unfortunately for Hodgson, he got it wrong.

Glad Hodgson OK. Had to be a red correct decision but no real malice - Hodgson was low with bent knees as is his style and the tackler was committed and couldn't get low enough with Hodgson in that position. One match would be a good penalty with warning about technique.
