| Quote mark_m="mark_m"Well that helps with what I was thinking. They are all more than ten years ago or more and none of them are in the Andy Gregory or Martin Gleeson class.
Although thinking about it the flow of players from Wigan to Warrington has hardly been sparkling either.'"
sorry your wrong, wigan won everything in those days, read your history books

| Andy Gregory was sensational for Warrington. I wouldn't put him down as an under-performer who starred for Wigan.
David Myers (RIP) would be the classic example for me - we played him at prop and he moved to Wigan and became an international winger.

Wrong that Fieldhouse, Case and Potter are not in the Gleeson/ Gregory class? Don't think so. And those mentioned were all at least twelve years ago or more.
You seem to forget that they won 'everything' because they were the only full time team at that time.
Selling Gleeson will not bite us in the backside. This could be the start of players at the club being professional, treating the club with respect and being a TEAM for the first time in living memory.

| I remember McGinty looking like a real journeyman for Wire, but he went to Wigan, won trophies, and became something of a GB regular.
Keith Holden - he looked brilliant in his all too brief spell with us.

| I think McGinty was a journeyman at Wigan but in a much better team and was once dropped by Dorahy in 1994 for best part of half a year. Although he has of course got a World Club Champions medal.
Difficult to compare anything pre SL as no other team was full time. I might be wrong but is Gleeson the first player to go from Warrington to Wigan during the SL era? I can recall Martin Dermott coming back the other way.

| whats time got to do with any thing you asked for examples, cos you could not think of any yourself, highlighting your poor historical knowledge,
they won major trophies with wigan 12 years ago
so therfore were better than gleeson... star team rather than players!

None of the above players won trophies with Wigan in 1997. Check your own poor historical knowledge.
And I still stand by the fact that those are not in the Gregory/ Gleeson class.
