My Brother in Law is a Blackburn fan and has the same concerns, to the extent where he has said he won't be going to the games because he is so sure there will be some sort of trouble, but I doubt it will be on the scale of last night.

Tell him it wont be a patch on the full scale riot that occured after a midweek cup game versus everton and millwall a few years back.



And yes Millwall bring trouble to wherever they go, they should be closed down imo.

I think you are very much underestimating the rivalry between the two clubs tbh together with the fact this is there first Premiership Match against each other. I know there have been incidents following Preston v Burnley games (mainly in Burnley town centre) and there is certainly an element of the fanbase of both clubs that will cause problems unfortunately.

I think it will just be handbags rather than stabbings and snottings.

i think ordinarily neither are (although doubtless they will both have sets of fans who are convinced they "turned the ICF on their own manor" and probably "wrote" a generic book about it!)



but i've been to a couple of blackburn burnley games and it is not a nice atmosphere, there is a serious rivalry and the police obviously expect trouble each time i've been it seemed like the entire lancashire constabulary was there expecting it to kick off big time

this was big. pretty much the whole of the district line was down last night becasue they had trashed several tube trains, and there was fighting as far away as london bridge and borough high street, which are miles away from west ham. listening to people on the tube talking about it this morning too, one west ham fan was saying he'd never been so scared in twenty years of going to football, and one fella was saying that and i quote ....."Junior winding up the scum after his second goal. He will go down as a legend for that".



not pretty, and i hope there will be no copycat incidents anywhere.....
