The Queues today were awful for the South Stand. Took me 10 minutes to get in and I started queueing 25 mins before kick off.

Queues were bad for the East Stand too. When people are queuing across carparks and roads you would think Mr Health and Mr Safety would be in attendence! I would have been a bit peeved if I was still queuing and missed the first try - and no, not everyone left it late and poured out of a pub! I left home at my normal time but queued for around 10 minutes when I normally go straight in.

Apparently ALL tickets for the south stand were sold so in theory the south stand was as packed as it will be for Wigan/Saints (and possibly Leeds)

Got to the ground in plenty of time, queued for a bit longer than I would have liked but was in place with plenty of time. This has always been the rule so ignorance is no excuse.

They do.



It was a bit of a farce getting in today. It has probably said in every season ticket since year dot that you have to bring in the full book but it's never too my knowledge been strictly adhered to.



So why do it now? As for the warnings, I know because I come on here. My dad got his season ticket last week and wasn't told. My lad got his yesterday and was told.



I got to the ground at 2:15 and the south east turnstiles where very busy so I met my mates and decided to try the south west corner.



We just got in for kick off and there were loads of people queuing behind us. Surely they should have got to the point where they realised it wasn't working and instructed the stewards to go down the line and tell people to rip voucher 1 out for themselves.



It'll be interesting to see if they do the same at the next home game.

Sh!t me some people are never happy.

The first i heard about this was in the queue today , no letter , nothing said when i bought the ticket.

Sadly you have no case because it clearly states it in the season ticket

The problem with the club telling steward to go down the line would be that this was obviouly the first week they had tried it. Next game, the operators will be more used to it, the spectators will be more used to it and their may be fans who come earlier and hence stagger the flow. If they had "abandoned" it today, come next game there will be problems that they hadnt identified/ironed out and the fan base would simply think "ah well, sooner or later they will just go back to what they did last time"

But there is no need for it. There were big queues 45 minutes before kick off. How early do they expect us to come.



The only two reasons I can think of to enforce this are there are problems with snide tickets or that people are touting season tickets.



To be honest I can't see that there is an issue with either.



In previous seasons when you got to the turnstile with 45 minutes to kick off, there are between 0 and 10 people in front of you. There is no reason to make you queue for 20-30 minutes.

I didn't get any letter either but it has been said on this forum before that they were going to tighten up on people just bringing 1 page instead of the book.

There was 1 female steward near to the south west turnstiles walking along the queue reminding people not to tear their tickets out beforehand.

I got there later than usual due to my lads rugby match kick off being 11.45 . Arrived at 2.10 saw the queues for the South stand and waited about 10 mins to get in, knew that the booklet had to be taken as I was warned by thr shop on purchase and read the warnings. South Stand near full then at 2.30.



Met up with the usual bunch in the area we always stand and then all the late attenders came in and packed the area as usual.



For those who sit in the pub and expect to waltz in hard luck get there earlier simple and for those who can't be d to read the season ticket rules ...hard luck.
