Difficult for some of our younger fans.....tho not on Bridge St on a Friday night

Genuine question - are some of our younger fans literally not allowed in pubs? If accompanied by an adult?



If you are refering to that middle age group of about 13 - 17, sure they wouldnt want to go to some bouncy castle family event with their mates anyway, far too cool

I sometimes take my 'little' brother, i say that he's 15 and 6ft 3 and still growing.

Never had any trouble getting him in a pub.

It would be a good idea to have somewhere more 'suitable' for families/kids. Kids hanging around in pubs is a tricky subject for me. Whilst I sympathise with the parents; obviously they want to have a beer etc pre-match, I do find it annoying when the a pub is jammed and a substantial amount of the people are infact youngsters.



For example, I remember the bar being real busy before a game once and upon grabbing my pint I turned round to instantly walk into a kid of about 8 - thus spilling my beer on him. His mum looked at me in a way that suggested I was at fault. I felt like saying 'hold on a second numbnuts, this is a pub - ya know - a place where adults go for a drink! So why don't you ask your lad to get out and stop sniffing my jeans for godsake!'

Pubs are no place for Kids, well the one's near the ground aint these are for hardened drinkers and are hardly child friendly.

Yes ban kids from pubs. In fact why not ban them from the ground as well. In fact why not stop them from being our in public, seen and not heard only. Bring back the birch etc etc etc

Maybe you and your mates could move it onto Tesco car park on matchdays and then move it back afterwards?

Tesco would have been ideal but they took the majority of the land. If only the council had acted wisely in the first place an area of greenspace could have been allocated as part of the original plan.

Your right, we shouldn't have let Tesco in on it. We could have had a whip round amongst the fans to build the stadium instead. We'd already got off to a good start with the £43.22 in the "Keep Danny Halliwell" fund that went unused.
