I always liked Anderson - maybe a bit too inclined to go for the big hit and, lately, a bit injury prone but all in all, a good servant and I wish him well.

I must be watching a different player. LAndersons work-rate compared to Westwoods is feeble, rarely takes the ball up in the difficult areas of the field, prone to errors with the ball and flatters to deceive with his 'big hits' which invariably don't stick and have been the cause of some conceded tries. Generally has one good game in about three and this season has been particularly poor, couple of times being utterly terrible (Hull at home in particular).



Good player but we can and will do better.

Perhaps not to the extreme that you are but I'm with you. I've never seen him roll his sleeves up and say take three drives in a set when you're really under the cosh, that's not to say he hides or anything like that, I just don't think he's the workaholic type, but maybe having Westwood doing that Smith has encouraged him to almost do less work but make it explosive, so make very run & tackle telling on the oppo.



I've enjoyed him, I think he's got better year on year (prior to this year) though I still feel there's a big 3 months in him. He's always conducted himself well, has given no less than 100% when he's took to the field and I'm sorry he's moving on but he is certainly replaceable. I'm pretty open minded ref Waterhouse, I just hope he continues the trend of our overseas players recently slotting straight in seamlessly.

Oh definitely he is a good professional no doubt but the thing is with the ball carries he rarely puts his hand up in exit sets and generally looks to carry further up field in attacking positions. I do think he is a bit lazy on field, he isn't 50% of the player that Westwood is. Not sure how he compares in tackle stats either.



Get the feeling Waterhouse will be more of a match for Super Ben.

No pressure then Mark - after a couple of quiet games at the start of the season, I bet some of our lot will be singing 'Trent Shithouse'....

Interesting that when King left there were nice quotes from player and coach but for Anderson it's a quick press release. Wonder why?

Think that was also telling when Smith was interviewed a few weeks back - he was glowing when asked about King and wishing him the best for the future, whatever he chose. When asked about Anderson he looked fed up and said that Louis needed to make his mind up - no big-ups or eulogising.

Thought did cross my mind too. Maybe because it was pretty much public knowledge he was leaving anyway. The King (high profile player here and in Aus) move to Souths coupled with our preseason trip to play them next year probably warranted a bigger fanfare.

I would of course expect nothing less from our knowledgeable terrace friends.
