[iRock-bottom Harlequins staged a stunning second-half fightback to shock Super League leaders Wigan.
A Warriors win looked certain as they led 24-6 at the break after Liam Farrell (2), Cameron Phelps and Joel Tomkins replied to David Howell's try.
But Luke Dorn went over twice in the first 10 minutes of the second half to move Quins to within six points.
Pat Richards kicked a penalty for Wigan but Will Sharp, Robert Purdham and Chad Randall sealed victory for Quins.
Harlequins arrived at the DW Stadium having won just one of their opening 10 games, compared to Wigan's 10 wins in 11 outings.
But, despite Quins beating Wakefield in the Challenge Cup last weekend, there seemed little chance of the formbook being turned on its head as the Warriors opened up a commanding half-time lead.
Super League XV's biggest crowd of the season so far was silenced early on when Sharp palmed Danny Orr's high kick to Howell for the game's opening score.
Yet Wigan, who were without seven regulars, hit back emphatically with two tries in four minutes through 17-year-old Farrell, making his first start, and Phelps.
Sean O'Loughlin created an overlap for Tomkins to run in number three before Farrell capitalised on confusion in the visiting defence.
But Quins mustered an instant response at the start of the second half as Dorn, playing as a makeshift full-back after Ben Jones-Bishop sustained a head injury, twice sliced through the home defence.
Richards' penalty gave Wigan a two-score cushion but Brian McDermott's side were not to be denied and hit back when Orr's kick ahead was collected by Sharp.
Winger Kevin Penny then broke down the middle to set up the position for Purdham to put Quins in front for a second time, leaving hooker Randall to skip over to cap a memorable night. [/i
Shame that Ainscough couldn't prevent him from setting up the winning try then!!!

Nothing you have said contradicts anything I said. All i said was that when Penny made a break (twice) ainscough caught him (twice) penny then played the ball and they went outwide and scored.
You lot are talking as if he was Mr Incredible and he won the game for Quins and he has 'resurrected' quins etc. but in reality they would have won with or without him tonight.
Just pointing out the facts.

He wasnt against Ainscoughs wing.
I was just shocked that Ainscough caught him TBH because Penny is mega fast and Ainscough aint the fastest winger or the best tackler.
Anyway the point i was making was that Penny wasnt as good as people on here think he was, he looked very shakey under the high ball, just batting it anywhere or missing it alltogether and when he did make a break he was easily caught.

| It was Will Sharp who palmed the ball back in for the first try.
Penny made a good break early on from an inside pass and was caught by Ainscough, thought he played reasonably well, though he did get a little targeted with the high ball (That may be because we had Richards on that wing however)

| Harlequins coach Brian McDermott:
"I'm very, very proud. We were up against it tonight. Chris Melling was knocked out for a big period of the first half and =#FF0000Ben Jones-Bishop is in hospital with a head injury.
"We're not sure what happened. He either got a stud in the head or he collided. He's got an indentation in the middle of his skull that you can put your finger inside.
"He's not feeling great. It's a bit of a concern and our thoughts are with Ben Jones-Bishop now.
"So not only did we play a very physical Wigan team but we had some blokes missing as well.
"We weren't great in the first half. While we challenged Wigan in some areas our poor discipline allowed them to get out of their area too easily."
