Pretty much every player gets taken down by 3 or 4 defenders each time they get the ball.... The gang tackle is rugby league standard now.... If you are suggesting that he is so powerful it takes 4 men to get him to the ground you are very much mistaken.

I think he is a fabulous defender.. But with the ball he isn't destructive at all and in my opinion he doesn't seem to get through enough work.... That's probably down to how I like my players though.... That's why I like players like Westwood and Kirmond so much.

True, I'd be more then happy and would welcome the addition of kirmond, especially if Waterhouse doesn't stay after next year, could be an even better player with a stronger team around him!

Whilst this thread is about Kirmond, like others on here the title means nothing after a page or two.

Waterhouse is a great player who just chills and walks around at his leisure. He is great in the big games and is very reliable. People only see what they want to see. There have been people on here giving Briefs,Hodgson, Myler and even Rhys Williams grief on here.

Not really that strange that a thread about us signing a back rower should get onto who he could possibly replace is it?

I think he does all of the above consistently well, you know exactly what your going to get when he walks on the field. I would also think as one of our more mature players especially with his background in the NRL he has a big influence on some of the younger kids.

Meet him last year on the way to Hull think it was and we had a fair conversation, he is so laid back he is almost horizontal !but he was very knowledgeable and spoke well.

Do agree and can understand why people think he is lazy but when you watch him closely you see how he organises those around him.

Waterhouse reminds me of the bloke who answers the phone on the Fosters gold advert. Chilled and relaxed.

I'd rather stick with Ben Currie.

A chilled fosters and a hot Currie does it for me!

As good as Waterhouse is he was billed as this awesome running forward who could bust a tackle and release the ball. We're all thinking "my god somebody has found another Mark Roberts", but no we got somebody with no line speed at all.



Now he is very good at defending and as said "so he should be" its a prerequisite. He can and does score trys. Barnstorming, line busting runs well maybe they're just around the corner.

The real question for me is, would you rather have Louis Anderson? I would.
