Benny Westwoods performance was a man of steel effort carried the whole team !

Atkins had his worst game in a Wire shirt .

Did ok, nothing wrong, nice and steady. Seemed very nervous and will be better for it now he has had his 20mins or so. Is a far better player than on that performance, but it will do him the world of good.

A few are saying Wolves scored on 7th tackle on Wakey board and it's in a few reports. Is this true. Not causing trouble just asking as i didn't go but thought would get wolves opinion on this. Was the game moving too fast for Alibert to notice or even the fans to notice?

We did score on the 7th tackle (Simon Grix), but I suppose if the ref had put his hand up for the 5th tackle a tackle earlier then we would have kicked through then and maybe scored!!! I would have been very miffed though if it had happened to us.



Fair play to Wakey they did themselves proud yesterday as did the Under 20s on Saturday when an identical game saw a late conversion attempt just go wide that would have given you a draw.

Great effort from Wakefield doubt we would have won that game without Westwood he carried the team. Will be some sore players on the Wakefield side today after some of his tackles! Thought Cooper had a good game aswell.

Poor display from us.. especially in defence. The team really looks out of sorts at the minute... Only Cooper and Westwood can really come out of the game with any credit... having said that Wakefield played brilliantly and looked like scoring every time they had the ball.



Westwood was sensational.

Westwood was tremendous yesterday thought monoghan had a good impact at hooker and I was glad when he moved from there.

Your young prop looked decent.



Saying that, even though we lost I was tremendously proud of the effort and skill we showed yesterday, and from your pov even though you won it must be nice seeing a tight game now and again as your a quality side now used to thumping most at home vs those not near the top of the table.

i watched it back on superleague full time, 7 tackles it was indeed, i would have been devistated if i was a wakey fan! our completion yesterday was shocking, something we need to sort for pieday friday!

Dwyer played ok for a debut, joel at full back for periods baffled me & as tony smith said "super benny westwood, i was singing along myself at times"
