In the cold light of day on reflection, maybe I was a little hard on Kevin Penny. We are all entitled to our opinions on here. Whilst I along with the rest of the Warrington fans embraced him when he burst onto the scene but now feel he has lost the cutting edge that had. This can't be laid at the door of posters on here, we never droped him or farmed him out to Widnes. I also acknowledge he was playing in a team lacking players due to injury or otherwise. I remember that try he scored against Salford at the HJ and would like to see him get back to those days. Time will tell what the future holds at Warrington for Kevin Penny.

It's all well and good the boy doing good against Salford when he's playing in a team on the front foot. He had zero attacking opportunities the other night and, but for ill luck, could have made a couple of length of the field interception tries out of nothing. As it was he prevented them scoring.



Give him a chance is all and for gods sake can we please stop knocking him.

When Penny almost had that interception but it just squirmed away from his grasp, I was praying to the big man upstairs for him to catch it and run 80m to score, because it would have shut up a hell of a lot of people on here.

Except.... in true Penny style he dropped it.

I only caught the fist half as I was off out last night, but he certainly seemed like his spell at Widnes has helped him. Fairly quiet in the first half but OK.



Let's see how he does against Wakefield this weekend, and who knows: he may even get to pay at Wembley.



In that first half he certainly didn't get the best chances.



The only problem I have is that he still seems to come in off his wing too far for my liking - we'll get that out of him.

you must be one of them that shouts all game, (get on your wing penny), really riles me up that chant, people think he should just stand a metre from the touchline no matter wot is happening in play, for god sake he has to slide with the defence, if the defence isnt over and penny is on his wing then they walk over the line where the centre should be, the whole defencive line was e against wigan, actually thought penny shown a bit of promise in a few areas
