To make it look as though there is nothing un-toward with regards to the decision they make, but make no mistake it can and will be manipulated as the season goes on. As someone posted earlier lets wait and see when there is a close call to make and whether or not we hear there discussion pending the verdict.

I liked it. It would help if they explained what they are looking at. More educated fans can see what they are looking at, but it would help with a run through and explanation for new viewers maybe.



Maybe if the whole communication was broadcasted to the crowd too, ie the refs request of what to check and the video refs step by step.

Quite liked it. Eddie & Steve got a bit carried away. BBC & premier sports have already beaten them to explaining decisions. It was next to the away end wasn't it? Going to take some abuse in future when it's a bigger away attendance

I thought it was good but looked a bit amateurish, but will get better with more practice.



I would have preferred them shown in the top corner or something (screen in screen) whilst the image they were looking at was actually shown on the TV/Big Screen with their commentary on the decision etc.

Truth is that most sports on Sky Sports (football, golf, NFL, Rugby Union) use the technology and it works a lot better for sports like Rugby League so it was brought in.



At the end of the day, it's a change in Rugby League, whether it be the RFL or whether it be the Sky Sports broadcasts. Regardless, people will like it, people will hate it. With it being Rugby League, and RL fans are known for being very very picky and very very negative when it comes to change, I assume the majority will dislike it.

I reckon the technology behind it, and giving the VR's control of the camera's is a step forward. Not sure about having to watch them come to a decision though
