Leigh Centurions have signed prop Greg Richards from St Helens on a deal until the end of November 2018, with an option of a further year.

I hope he does well ,played 6 games in 3 years 3 for Rochdale ,3 for Sheffield doesn't instil confidence ,but I am sure our Coaches know a good player when they see one .

I Hope hes back to his best ,then he would be a great signing,and at least hes a young un ,which bides well for the future

Not sounding negative but why have we signed a player who can't get on a super league club to keep us in the super league just don't make sense

Only 22 isn't he, very young for a prop, and he should be fresh with the limited game time

70 SL games for Saints, including a Grand Final appearance. He sounds as though he has a lot of promise, and will bring down the average age of our pack.

He's going to wish he hadn't signed, if he reads this site! I would suggest that 70 SL games at a top club, isn't bad going for a 22 year old. Of course, we could have done a HKR and persuaded a 34 year old half back (he'll be 35 by the start of next season) to join us?
