Forgive me for bring a bit slow but I haven't read anywhere what the make up of the Championship 1 league will be in 2015. Will that be fourteen teams?

two divisions of twelve, followed by three divisions of eight for the play offs.



15 home fixtures if we make the mid 8's, 11+4.

Thanks Neil but that is only the top two leagues I mean Champ 1?

Hoping to have 14 teams in Championship One, in 2015.

Seems a bit daft as surely the team finishing 10th in the Championship will be stronger than the team finishing top of Championship 1. Understand that they have to have something to play for in C1 so would have preferred playoffs with the top 3 C1 teams and the 10th place Championship team. Still with 5 down and one up it looks like we won't be having mid table Championship 1 quality side Toulouse forced on us in the Championship again. They could put them in C1 but not sure where the money for such small clubs to travel that distance will come from.

One of the biggest problems that I can see for clubs in Champ1 is the travel they have to do in order to fullfill their fixtures. I don't know if the RFL help them with it but they are all over the place and if a French club goes in then they are knackered.

so am i reading this right.....if you make the 8, you play 4 games all at home against the 4 SL clubs coming down ? then the top 4 teams after those games play SL the following season ???

so in theory 4 champ teams could be promoted or all 4 SL clubs could just return to SL1 ??

No it's only two up, two down. But it's not. The thing is it will take a monumental effort for any Championship club to be one of the top 4 of the middle eight. That is how I see it. The top four of the middle eight go to 2016 SL.

OK from the official info I have read



8 teams = 7 games (play all others once)

Championship teams all get 4 home games (2 SL teams and 2 Champ teams)

Top 3 after the 7 games go into SL for 2016

4th placed team plays 5th placed team for the 4th position



Now to me that seems simple but to all the VTers it seems it makes their brains hurt (and their cosy little safe SL world fall down around their ears)

Still cant see any of the championship teams competing when the SL team will have double our salary cap plus a parachute payment !

Plus 5 overseas players compared to our leagues 1.
