Obviously feel for the Salford fans given their club's situation but I'm far more concerned about the potential impact on our own cashflow preparations for the season.
The reasoning given on the Salford website ("We felt it was better to give the boys an extended break over Christmas and prepare ourselves fully for the Swinton game on 6 January"icon_wink.gif reads as a bit of a p1sstake for me though.

From a quick scout around I think St.Helens, Bradford, Castleford, Hull & Hull kr could be potential replacements for Salford, we really need to replace this fixture for our own cash flow & preparation.

That statement reads as a hasted and very badly executed attempt at spin.

Salford have only just confirmed match on according to Journal and Reporter so something must have happened for it to be called off in same week , can't see it being anything to do with the extra time off. Hope we get a replacement .
