Hesketh has been outstanding all season for Batley and has not had a poor match, as I am sure Hill has for you. Both are destined for great things so I guess it was a matter of subjectivity. I am delighted Sean is in the team, but would not have questioned Hill being in as the few times I have seen him he has also been a stand out player. I also reckon Watene would have a good case for being included.
As for Rooney being selected, I really think he has been, at best only 5th best this year in that position, but again, based only on the few times I have seen him play.

How the young Fev winger Zak Hardaker hasn't got into the side is beyond me. The most dangerous winger in the league.
Doran has been very consistent this season, despite his tendency to give away penalties. I suppose not everyone is going to be happy and it's hard to judge the selection unless you've seen each player in a number of games, it's very easy for us to say Duffy, Hill, Taylor etc should be in there because we watch them week in week out but there's a chance there's another player doing the same at Sheffield, Widnes, Batley etc.

Lee Doran has been one of the most consistent Widnes players this year.He used to annoy me with his penalities, but has cut them out this year.Now he is a better player as strong,speed,and has a good offload.To be honest you do not see Lee Doran every week to judge.We can all be biased to our own team.Fev and Fax should have more players in the squad as the league table does not lie. |

Doran has been great for us this season often doing 80mins a game and I am sure his stats stand out (maybe how they work this?). He's played with a pack full of youngsters at time and never let us down!
Cook has to be at 9 as has been great this season! |
