Don't think so Maurice. Virtually all of the 20-30 year olds I know who attend games ALL started as unaccompanied quid a kids in the late 90's and early 2000's. If they had to attend with a parent then I know for sure I wouldn't have come anywhere near as regularly, if at all, as my parents have no interest in rugby and were/are actively involved in a local church which means they wouldn't be able to take us regularly.
The take up on previous 'accompanied kids' has been poor so I'd say this is a case of making it as easy as possible for kids to start attending games - surely this can only be a good thing?

| if this offer is extended for more than one match all it will probably ensure is that all those who have bought kids season tickets for their kids and grandkid,s this season, wont bother doing it again next season ,yet another one doomed to fail.

I believe there's in the region of forty (yes, forty) kids season tickets this season. I'm one of those who has purchased one and I can tell you now that I won't mind one jot about this offer - what you also have to remember is that the season tickets get free entry at away games, which the 'Quid Kids' won't be entitled to. As it is, I'm sure the club will be happy to speak to anyone who has bought a season ticket and feels ripped off by the new offer.

Matt, what seasons were kid for a quid back then, I recall a fantastic take up of the £10 season ticket for u16's in 2000ish - which I would do again btw ie £20 under 16 ST with photo ID. If you pay your money upfront you will be a fan, letting Chavs in for a quid will put full paying adults off, I am one of those btw whose worse nightmare is being in the middle of a bunch of pubescent teenagers ffin n jeffin at all and sundry with family's nearby

Agree, I started with my dad when I was about 7 but a few years later I didn't want to be with adults.

Rumour has it not all kids are Chav’s,
Nice to see the club targeting the youngsters, would have liked them to be given their own stand, so that the miserable ‘old farts’ don’t spoil their enjoyment.

| I am all for kids for a quid with Adult, and for cheap u16's season tickets - I aint for U16's for a quid unaccompanied. If we have 50 now paying £8 we need 400 to pay a quid to break even, if not more.
I am still awaiting Matts reply, and I know all kids aint Chavs - my kids started with ST's going with Grandad and Me, I would guess most started in a similar way although not all.
