Sums it up nicely for me. How classy is Sinfield? He seems to have all the time in the World, with ball in hand, and never stops organising and encouraging his team. Seemed very concerned immediately when Nash got the head injury too. Great to see a class side in action and very proud of our lads too. Remember the two tonkings we got in SL at Hilton Park, from Leeds? And that was when we were full time too. |

Apart from the obvious forward pass that set up a Leeds try I think the ref and touch judges had good games, thought Sinfield and Burrow were both superb and class acts. it was great to see Leythers applauding Ryan Halls interception try as well. Thought the lads effort was first class night and done themselves, us and the town proud.

Bailey threw the first punch, Littler returned one and floored him. That must have been why our try got disallowed and Leeds got the penalty. A real BIZARRE decision.

Why was Thaler concerend with that. Should he not have been following play and leaving that upto his helpers? Just said on another thread that I think he is one of the worst refs in this game. Likes the sound of his whistle and is very inconsistant.

The main points re the ref were
1) Forward pass for one of the tries in the first half not given. Touch judge right in line with it. Looked forward even from the North Stand.
2) Crossing for another one in the 1st not given, (then gives crossing against Leigh in the same circumstances later in half)
3) Try disallowed right on half time. Could not see why from North stand
4) Try disallowed after the biff.
Not saying it would have made any difference to result, but I think the final score would have been closer had Leigh been close at HT.

Same game, but if the offside rule was used and forward passes at key times,it would have given leigh more and better opportunities.And yes i know we are part time so that doesn't help matters does it.  |
