Yes you are quite right BFFC and after my red wine fix I can see your point. But, they must have heard the laughs, groans and the lack of applause when it was announced.

I remember a couple of years ago Lee Briers had an absolute shocker yet was picked as match day sponsor. The chap who's company sponsored that particular game at the HJ wrote on a similar thread to this that they wanted Lee in their box afterwards for publicity pictures, hence the seemingly strange choice. If you fork out the money to sponsor a game it is your prerogative, simple as that.



Personally I never pay attention to all that malarkey, however I have enjoyed the little presentations they do for man of the match, tackler etc in the bar after London games in the bar in previous years. Perhaps one to consider.

It may well be the red wine which was responsible for the sponsors decision!!!

We used to sell about 200-300, but I'm told that the first one under the new editorial regime (Whitehaven) sold 700. Don't know how many they sold today, but I thought it was a very good one. (First time for about six years that I didn't buy one, but got an 'electronic' freebie!

Alan I too thought todays was a good program.

For me it was a surprising choice. Amazed that try was given, thought it was obstruction but won't complain. Tommy deserved it. Ran a great line to make a try in the first half and his tackle on wild in the second to stop a certain try was unbelievable.

Whilst Goulden was admittedly the obvious choice for MOM No groans from me. Penkys introduction was a game changer in that he speeded up the ruck area, he through a great defence splitting pass for Wilkes to touch down and on top of that he managed to score the match winning try,

I didn't see any for sale upstairs so I missed out too also I didn't see anyone selling half time draw tickets,upstairs .

They did sell HT draw tickets in the touchdown club room yesterday, unfortunately if you go back in there for a drink at half time you never get to find out what the winning number is!

I can tell you that TG was very close to being chosen as MoM.
