Will James Clare be back before the 8s ?? That would give us a pace option

99% now we will be in middle 8 s , still starting positions within the 8 to be won , and that is what most of us expected at the start , fitness and freshness is crucial , sure all the staff are fully aware of what's needed , going to be fun

Obviously not that easy to fix Harold, as it has been the same problem for most of the season - be it down to the coaches or the players

well we turned leeds over so i hope you play as bad against us. we have more injured than you lot but we don't moan about refs and injuries or have a ignorant owner who is wealthy and not outspoken

Even the coaches knew that we would be in this position at the start of the season they are looking to offload some deadwood that on 120 grand a year and do some good recruiting in the off season if still in the SL there a oz half back on the way that can also play 9 and also a young forward who playing overseas will be revealed for the middle 8s

I thought the Maria sin binning was at a critical time and a bit harsh, Child was a lot nearer than me though.

Weston was a fraction late and something Ive seen a lot this season (especially when watching other teams on SKY) with a penalty deemed sufficient but some choosing a sin bin, its one of those 50/50 calls we've struggled with this season.

The effort was excellant and with a bit more composure we could have got something, Two late trys chalked off (nowhere near me so can't comment - was stood in the rain on the Western terrace - pity Leeds can't put a roof on that end as you'd expect one of the biggest clubs in the world to look at that especially as they put all the away fans in that end!)shows we didn't give it up, actually thought we finished stronger and fitter than Leeds at the end which when you consider the opposition we've played of late and the amount of time down to 12 men is a huge credit to our players.

Far more positives than negatives and certainly lots to build on, Hampshire had his best game in a Leigh shirt and Patterson showing what we have missed 2 big notables for me.

Just need those 50/50 calls to spin our way and we will start to really get on a roll.

Of course the fixture planners have been kind and now given us Wigan on Thu!

I agree that discipline is below SL standards but I believe it is down to speed of recovery in both effecting the tackle & being tackled.

I fail to see how NJ, PC & KP can't coach this out of the players but ultimately it is down to the players themselves to raise the standard.



The issue seems to come from 2 things (though I am open to other views). Firstly that we have an ageing pack, some carrying injury possibly. Secondly that the squad is small & so there is little rotation in the forwards *other than forced by injuries/suspension*

3rd that we lack pace across the park *Ok, 3 things*

4th is that our conditioning/fitness is a little short *Ok 4 things* though this might have something to do with age of the squad.



We have gone all season without James Clare, clearly our fastest wing.

Our Captain.MH has missed much of the season.

Tonga has missed the majority of the season & without any specialist Centres to call on position switches have been forced upon us.

Riddy has hardly featured, for whatever reason he is not favoured as our 6 currently.



Get Clare, MH & Riddy up to speed for the 8's or a top level 6 if Riddy is not 'the chosen one' & fix Centre & we will be in SL 2018.

I can't really make out your last point, are you saying you no longer have a wealthy owner? Or that you still have a wealthy owner who is just not as outspoken as ours?

we have a wealthy owner you have one who as a few pennies but interferes too much with the players . you have not bought very well have you 6 figure fees for old players will not get you any were. 15 of our line up came through our youth system .



let's face it your new youth system will take ten years to develop and will cost you 300k our owner did that in his 1st season you have waited too long . you have some great community clubs in leigh with miners and east why have you not got them on side maybe your owner as ed them off along the way

I was hopeful that purtill's influence was showing earlier in the season. We were making a lot less mistakes. But that was short lived.
