Well one of our forwards might make 10 metres in 100 seconds.

If we had a bigger pack they'd make the impact & the yardage Mado does & even increasing the squad by even a couple & we'd be able rotate the squad with fresh players coming in energized & trying to claim their spot. IMO I still don't think we've replaced Bibey yet when both Parker & Bibey played together our pack was fierce. What I was trying to say Charlie has already put 'there's no room for sentiment' it's not being ruthless but it's business

Lack of size in the forwards & the size of our squad doesn't help either. Jimmy Taylor gets through some work it's a shame we might not see him again this season he could of helped share the work load in attack & defense.

Really hope Jamie coming back is true. For me Ryan's a great weapon to have in any team, and when we've used him off the bench before I don't think we used him enough. But when he's stood out for me it's been as a finisher rather than a playmaker and organiser to compliment Riddy as a regular starter in the halves.



Re: wingers, if we played an expansive game I'd be crying out for more pace, but playing so much up the middle I think a fast winger would be a luxury that would be wasted on us. We'd be better spending any money beefing up our pack, especially in light of Hoppy's upcoming move to the dark side of the borough. I think we have a good long term wing prospect in Hill, so as long as we continue to develop him with increasing opportunities in the side, I wouldn't be in any rush to get rid of Mado. I agree there's no room for sentiment and he might not be getting any quicker but he's almost always solid & dependable. A player who's strong in both areas is probably out of our price range, so I say play to our strengths in terms of the way we play the game, and Mado fits that at the moment.

Steve Maden never put's a foot wrong in a Leigh shirt and is very hungry for work. He takes huge pressure off the forwards and quite often has made 2 or 3 drives up field achieving the hard yards associated with them whilst some of the forwards are still getting back in position.



On Sunday, He took his try superbly well in the first half. A player of lesser experience or ability could possibly have fumbled that one.



Steve Maden would not come anywhere close to beating Duane Chambers in a foot race but I know who the more effective winger is !!

The poor responses regards the input of Steve Maden beggars belief, apart from his brain fart v Haven the other week, his workload has been excellent IMO. He might not be the fastest winger in the comp, nor has ever been but I`d take his carries @ game over some of the so-called speedsters in our comp.

Solid player takes a lot of ball to give the forwards a rest. Not the fastest but is strong and he can tackle.
