On this topic... welcome to Kurt (again), a very useful player and in Joe and Craig heading the opposite way, they will also learn lots from their spell with Barrow.

If it's being reported in Barrow's local rag then it's hardly hard to get hold of the information, is it? Will still wait for official confirmation though before getting too giddy about Haggerty as he's definitely a player I rate highly, and Briscoe and Bullock would benefit greatly from first team rugby.

Initial announcement from the NW Evening Mail - presumably via Barrow club - hardly a 'hanger-on'. We all know what 'official' line of communication is the correct one, but in these days of social media, it isn't always possible to pursue that line.

"Leigh Centurions have today announced that Kurt Haggerty has joined the club on a season long loan from Barrow Raiders, and will go straight into team selection for Sunday's friendly with Warrington Wolves.

"I tentatively enquired about Kurt in the close season, and with the announcement of Simon Finnigan's retirement, decided to revisit it to add to the competition out on the edges."

From Andy's comments in this thread it's obvious that someone at Barrow has jumped the gun.



While I agree with you Matt its in the Barrow local rag so not exactly a secret, who from leigh would be reading the Barrow local rag on a friday night??



IMO Fred Parky is abusing his position of trust with the club, Paul and the directors and just trying to make himself look good and obviously knew about the deal and was looking for the story rather than stumbled across it.



It's like this Centurions TV it's a great product but why does Fred need to post everything as if it's the Parkinson's TV Show. It doesn't look professional you wouldn't see Wigan Warriors doing it and no wonder we struggle to break from the little leigh tag with dinosaurs like this being given licence and scope to abuse confidentiality.



If I were Leigh Centurions Directors I'd be hauling him in and in uncertain terms telling him you do it our way or get on your bike volunteer or no volunteer.



Leigh Centurions news should go our via Leigh Centurions first and foremost not Fred Bloggs, Fred Parky, Dave Parky or anyone else who think they qualify as piece of the furniture at he club.



The clue is in the name Leigh Centurions and that's the brand that needs to always be sold and must always remain consistent if it's to really catch and grow the way we need it to.

Understand we're it came from Alan fully, it's the muppets in our own camp highlighting it publicly before the club has announced it that frustrate me and must frustrate the clubs management.



You are a top guy and I know you write the clubs programme so must obviously know more than the average fan but never abused the clubs confidentiality from what I've read.



Some on here just want to be seen as being in the know and don't realise they are not helping the club.

Milehighclub..When you put has much time and effort into Leigh Rugby that Fred and his lads have done over the years the last thing you expect is someone slagging you off on the fans website..Over the years the time and effort Fred has put into the club mostly at his own expense is outstanding by any stretch of the imagination myself and many other Leigh Supporters have nothing but admiration for Fred and his lads True Leythers who are Leigh Centurions right to the bone the story Fred quoted was already in the public domain I had seen it before Fred had mentioned it on here so before you go slagging hard working people off who have the Centurions at the heart of their very exsistance and put in hell of a lot of hard work into helping out on our road to become one of the best clubs in UK Rugby League THINk..

Mr Milehighclub I thnk you are getting a little hot under under the collar over nothing. Admitedly in the past someone has let out information before the club has made announcements but I think you are being rather unfair to Fred. Most certinly is not a "muppet" and I personally think you should apologise.
