If I was a Fev fan I'd be very disappointed, especially after that God awful statement was released . If what has been said on here is true then the only relevant part of the statement was "We ask our fans to allow club officials to do their work and embrace the changes and not to question their judgements but to live the dream."



Why not just come out and say "We want to be in the top two at any cost and if this is what we have to do then this is what we'll do."

Just had a very interesting conversation with someone regarding the Featherstone media blackout AND mystery investor.......

The mystery investor is said to be Cath Hetherington from Wakefield who is putting in the money to get the stands finished. This is also the reason for the DR deal. The reason behind it all is that Wakefields lease at Belle Vue ends at the end of the season and it's looking likely that they will be evicted by the RBS who own the ground. This obviously leaves them with nowhere to play, hence the link up with Featherstone.



The cloak and dagger secrecy is said to be because of a possible 'conflict of interests' going forward into next year if both sides are in the middle 8 and CH is involved in both.



The lad who has furnished me with this info is a decent fella and been correct on many issues regarding Fev etc.

Well that'll certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons won't it? I can't imagine either set of fans being happy with that.

Bet Wakey fans won't be best pleased it it's true about the ground share.



Re the DC business I think Fev are being smart given how much money is available for the top two in the Championship this season.



Just as an aside at Fev last week' seemed to me both their 2 new stands where almost complete so I wouldn't have thought it would cost too much to finish them. I would not have thought they would need a Wakey Board member to put the money up to do that.

Well the Wakey chairmen was on Radio Leeds after the game, and he confirmed it........one of his lads played at Sheff apparently!

Weren't Wakefield already partners with Keighley? Thought you could only partner with 1 heartland club. Does seem a very strange decision considering how much everyone hates the partnership system and how good Fev are anyway, not going to get many better players but are going to annoy a lot of fans.

Plus how they castigated us when we had ours with Wigan
