71. With the transfer of Hindley to our
proposed Westhoughton constituency, our
proposed Makerfield constituency extends
south east to incorporate Golborne. Our
proposed Leigh constituency includes the
towns of Irlam and Walkden with much of the
town of Leigh. The remaining wards that are
currently located in the Worsley and Eccles
South constituency are combined with the
town of Swinton in our proposed Swinton
constituency.

We ask everyone wishing to contribute to the design of the new constituencies to first read the Initial proposals report and accompanying maps before responding to us.
In particular, we would like to know:
• if you agree in full, in part or not at all with our initial proposals for the North West region;
• which sub-regions you agree with and why;
• which sub-regions you disagree with and why; and
• if you can propose alternatives for areas you disagree with that meet the statutory rules we set out in our report.

The Watcher believes is reduction in the number of MPs is well over due. Every other "industry" has had to reduce its workforce to save money & become more efficient so why not the free loading money grabbers at Westminster.
