If we are drawn at home in a attractive Challenge Cup fixture v Featherstone Rovers then it makes perfect sense to keep our 3 PM KO times especially as gates are up this season.
If you add to that Featherstone also play on Sundays (so its game day for there fans too) I'd say we'll see the biggest away support at Leigh for a very long time and a pretty good pay day for both clubs.
Saturdays was promised (but thus far nothing has happened) so I could understand a Saturday game (although it has risks during a football season).
As for Fridays, I'd hope we have learned lessons as Leigh lost support (and finance) on Friday night games when we had nearly a seasons worth not to long ago and every 'one off experiment' playing Fridays since has seen us post poor gates (it also means people get out of the habit of going and lose interest - that's the challenge the BOM still have and will have for another year whatever day we play on) so I really do hope the OP is wrong as it would represent a massive backward step by the current BOM and one that has risk.
Hopefully the BOM will confirm 3PM Sunday soon or come out and let us know the reasoning if we have decided to abandon our usual match day.'"

I was cautious of putting to much info into the public domain but Its out there via Fev CEO Craig Poskitt Twitter account:
@poskitt_craig: Just to confirm @InfoFevRovers that no game has been confirmed by @TheRFL for for any tie at LSV. FR have declined to play Friday evening.
@poskitt_craig: The RFL have been made aware of our feelings, functions at LSV will seemingly dictate the outcome which is disappointing to say the least
@poskitt_craig: LSV have confirmed they won't allow 2 games in 1 day but had 3 for the GF day????
@poskitt_craig: Also to confirm @InfoFevRovers the game cannot be played on Sat'dy due to a wedding taking place at LSV, we are still fighting our corner
From that you can see Fev don't want Friday Night, Saturday is not available due to a wedding and Swinton will be allowed to play Sunday I believe as there is a function booked but a small crowd of 400 won't effect it however our larger crowd would have.
Hard to see any option than Friday night at moment guys.

What bunch of soft asses Featherstone Rovers are these days. The number of occasions we have gone over to their place on a Thursday night in recent seasons and just got on with it ! Why, what's their problem with facing Leigh on a Friday night? Scared of the dark?
We have travelled over to Bradford and Wakefield at this stage of the competition in the past 3 seasons, not forgetting the tie at Wigan last season. All of them Friday night encounters.
God give me strength, The game has gone to pot mon.

| As stated in my earlier response to 'spener', Fev have played midweek (plus once on Saturday) at LSV in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. They should be used to it by now. |

Friday is reet enough, not sure why Fev are getting so worked up about it considering how many times we've gone over there midweek. A few of theirs on Twitter seem to have started the annual "we own our ground" jamboree a little early as well. Yawn.

Best game as a Leigh Fan and atmosphere in recent years was Friday night against Catalan Dragons.
Added bonus is Fev don't want it, don't like it and if we want to progress and get an even bigger draw and a real money spinner next round then we need every advantage possible.
Players tweeting that they want Friday also.
