Why do you think the Barrow fans are the best? I think they're good but no better than Fax(my team), leigh, widnes or haven. It's easy to support a winning team as they have done this year and the test of true loyalty comes when your team is struggling. I know Gateshead and Leigh have had a bit of a do this past week but surely you apprecieate the leigh fans that made the trip.



As for winding Thamghart up and getting him into the crowd, i wouldn't recommend it!!

bad news people after visiting gateshead last week,after the match i got very friendly with one of the gateshead 5,needless to say i now have a very bad case of THUNDERCLAP

I don't think anyone at Gateshead appreciated the Leigh fans being there. Their players and supporters obviously felt intimidated, by the large numbers and the noise, and their officials were incensed at having to spend half the night, counting the 'gate' money. It's obvious that there were a few cases of, bad language, (not to be condoned) but there were hundreds of us who didn't use bad language.



When Thunder came to the Sports Village, we didn't feel intimidated by their noisy following, even though they never shut up! And I also have it on good authority that the ticket office staff were happy, at only having to count the cash from an away 'following', of about 12!

As for being the club to be despised by the supporters of rugby league oh and the players well ,i think that SWANKING GATESHEAD are the proud owners of that you (euphenism)

Care in the Community hasn't quite reached Gateshead.

Actually Alan, this is an excellent post. Personally, I think people from Gateshead were impressed by the Leigh following last week.



I feel that a minority of Gateshead fans were rightly upset by the behaviour of a minority of Leigh fans - this is all down to personal tolerance and people will see it differently.



I personally did not hear anything over the course of the day that offended me, but obviously people did.



I responded to a post on here, but purely because it was stated that people from gateshead could not have the same passion as people from Leigh - I strongly disagree. If our club was to go, it would be an arrow through the heart of me and my family who all follow Thunder.



I was part of the Thunder crowd at LSV, and when thrown aa comment by a female Leigh fan about our noise, threw one back - banter.



We have good relations with most fans in the game, and this week is totally out of character foir both clubs.



A lot of fans in the game know me as being a genuine bloke.

Sounds fair enough to me. Your fans' passion at Leigh, reminded me of Swinton's. They have only ever brought about 30, but they've always more noise than us!
