hopefuly this will give the lads the boost the confidce again very close game sunday so this boost will do us a good thing so give the lads some confidce to win

Anyone else, or were there only two? How about the 'trade press'?

The strategy was to feed this as an exclusive to LCTV and the local media and give them first knockings on this important news as they all work extremely hard for Leigh Centurions.



We had a full media team presence and as always doing a very fine job, our social media team were on hand as well as website crew and staff and also representatives of strategic partner LISA.



The Leigh Reporter, Journal and Manchester Evening news will all carry the story and BBC Radio Manchester and Five Live Extra have requested audio from the conference.



Can I just say a big thanks to Mike Lathom who is kindly offering his time not to mention his expertise and professionalism to help pull together a media strategy and plan as well as proof reading and editing for the club. Great to have him back a gentlemen and true professional.



Derek spoke really well as always and its clear that the mutual respect between himself and Paul and the respect the players have for him is a key to our success on the field.



Comments and feedback from media have been positive.

The 'trade press' were there, Dave Parkinson writes regularly for both, and Im sure the press release will go out to both as they are on Andrews e mail list.

Total Rugby League have also published the story

Just goes to prove Derek that Andrew has an extensive e mail list, Im even sure Martyn and Alfs (Martyns dad) contacts in Australia will have it

Also happy to see LISA and other stakeholders invited. If LISA had not stepped in back in the day then the club simply would not exist now. I think the BOM understand and respect that as some at least were involved at that grassroots level in the beginning.



I well remember Maurice's impassioned speeches in those early days at Hilton Park about making the club great again. It was a turning point for me. It's taken a while and hasn't worked out in quite the same format as was originally mooted...but the ultimate vision of a sustainable club moving forward is closer than its perhaps ever been. Exciting times!

The club need funds more then ever to fund the transition from part time to full time so we must never let LISA die
