| I wouldn't worry about it too much, if our experience at warrington is anything to go by you will be for a few years yet. Then you start hearing fans complaining about refereeing decisions/RFL disciplinaries always going for you, then you know you've made the big time

| Quote tromso="tromso"I've been looking at the Warrington, Wigan and Leeds forums and it seems that 90% of the their fans posting give Huddersfield no chance at all in the rest of the play-offs. They may be right of course (time will tell!), but let's hope that their players and coached are equally complacent and they get a big shock.'"
There will be no big shock I'm sorry to tell you. Paul Anderson was seen leaving a supermarket on Sunday afternoon with a bumper bag of nappies for your players on Thursday night. It was a bit late for him, he soiled his underwear just after midday on Sunday.

| The funny thing is if we do lose on Thursday we will have fans of all and sundry on here saying what a disaster of a season etc etc,
if you asked any of them at the start of the season if winning LLS, knocking Leeds out of CC To reach QF and a GF semi appearance would be a good season most would probably say yes!

| You're probably right but a few things are going on here.
1. Everybody likes to reckon they are underdogs. Leeds say every year "nobody gave us a chance, everybody wrote us off, we shocked Super League".
2. At this stage of the season everybody reckons they will win and the other clubs won't. I'm sure if you ask most Wigan or Leeds fans if they think Warrington will win the Grand Final they will struggle to suppress a giggle and say "yep...it's always the Wire's year....just like the last one"
3. Because Hudds haven't won a major trophy in a long time probably fans of the other clubs think Hudds are a good team on a good run, rather than a great team. Meast is right about people expecting Hudds bubble to have burst midway through the season, because that's what they've seen in the recent past. They've also seen Hudds have a good playoff win (like when you blitzed us at the HJ in 2010) and then not been able to back it up by going all the way. So its always hard for people outside the club to imagine you doing it in the way that, if Warrington win, people will not believe we can go on and win the big one as we haven't done it yet.
I doubt there will be complacency though from anybody, although if Hudds win I bet the media brings up the complacency card because the implication will be if Warrington had taken the game seriously we would have won and Hudds were only in the GF because of us being complacent.

| They will SC but they haev to sell a story, so make more of minor stuff and blow it up into a story.
Apparantly according to some fans winning the LLS means nothing and they would have won it, if it meant anything.
The wins against Leeds and Wigan during the season mean nothing as it's a different competition in the play offs, yet we have people from Warrington saying we picked Huddersfield because of our record against them 3 wins out of 3, yet the former 2 clubs fans say it means nothing.
Apparantly we have a team of no stars, and Warrington have the best team in the land and their players are all better than ours, but one could say Carvell and Morley are past it and will soon be on the road to the back pasture, Hodgson, Myler and Waterhouse are coming back from injury and could break down, M Monas too with his dodgy knees, Hill been hyped up on his form from last season, this season he's been good but not like last season. Riley prone to mistakes, knock ons and poor choices when under pressure, Briers with his petulance , very lucky to stay on the pitch in his last match, a repeat of that and he could be off. Many things can happen during a game, and people are very confident of writing us off.
In fact all season we've had the same arguments that we will fall off the wagon, bubble will burst, we're a flash in the pan, fact is we're here, we're competing and if we do beat you in your backyard, we will have such a boost of confidence we may just go a step further.
