If I remember rightly the payment was a goodwill payment advised by the RL and was not binding as far as the Giants were concerned.No doubt someone can remember better than I.

l remember it as a "gentlemens agreement", the RFL did not order us to pay, but suggested its the right thing to do. the Bulls could thank their lucky stars, Ken Davy, is obviously a gentleman, had it been me they would have got jack sh?#e, l can only assume the people in Kingston are not in Davy,s league.. l also think Ken is not in the RFL Chairmans League.
