Horne would not get near our best 17. With a few backrowers recovering from ops it makes sense to get some cover. As GH has been looking for a club for months the chances are he has been signed on a very low contract. Once bodies are back he can be loaned to the likes of batley and will cost us even less! An experienced youngish player offering cover in a few places - on a short contract with something to prove - and costing little seems like a good bit of business.

, hopfully he wont be anywhere near our best 13, our backrowers should be Tickle and Fitzgibbon both are excellent players, with Manu off the bench and Burnett as backup (who looks an excellent young player). Pretty happy with our backrow, saying that a backrow of:



Raleigh, Gilmor and Wild (all British as well)with Faologo off the bench looks very exciting.

I'd move Raleigh up to prop and have Aspinwall in the second row, looked great after his move in to the back row, also very impressed wsith Kirmond too.

I think Aspinwall will do well to get anywhere near the XVII TBH. Our second row is so deep and unless we lose a couple of wingers I can't see him getting in. A shame, he's a 100% man and really needs to be playing at his age.

It is an interesting one. Horne offers greater ball playing options at 13. I think he also kicked through for the Josh Griffin try (?) The squad looks significantly stronger than last year.

From my angle , the way Robbo performed , he looked extremely promising in his role for the coming season

With a little more specialised coaching, consistency and keeping his mind on the job in hand , he might well be retained by Nathan at half back instead of being chosen in his preferred position (by some) of hooker.



That would provide the opportunity to consolidate Lunt and Faiumu as my favourites for that role with the possibility of Brad as cover
