If we can get Jeffries it would be a major signing for us, Randall is not a SL standard halfback and we cannot rely on Gale to do it alone (as he's only just starting to suggest he's SL standard), nor can we rely on the kid W***n have loaned us as he's untested and could be recalled.

That's what I was thinking. If they need to shed higher earners they aren't really in a position to demand transfer fees unless other clubs are keen enough to outbid each other for a particular player.
