Quote Slugger McBatt="Slugger McBatt"Your missed tackle count will be the telling thing. We found it very easy to get through you and looked like we could score every time we had it. It wasn't that we won some kind of arm wrestle. We just found it too easy at times.
Your body language wasn't good. I was behind the sticks and even early on, when you were trooping back, there was no spark or fight in your players.'"
Body language was a real problem last year, the team just accepted they were gonna get beat after 10 minutes.
Wakefield don't have the greatest playing roster but at least they go into every game with pride and will beat teams that don't turn up.
Kear will always instill that pride in the players, to me Rob Powell doesn't seem to be able to gee them up in the same way, or maybe there is still a poor mentality hangover from 2010 where defeat was just accepted with frail confidence at the end of the Brian Mac era.
Time for Rob Powell to prove he is more than a student of the game and cajole a bit of spirit out of his players.
