Apparently Sam has the ability to hold down the tackling player and be tackled at the same time. Sinfeild's arm over his chest is all the fault of the ball held down by Sam, Sinfield's arm over his neck all the fault of Sam.



I do wonder how exactly anyone can clamp the tackling players arm around the neck with the ball to such a degree that he is held down and prevents the tackled player from getting up.



The second tackle would have been easy for Sinfield to get out of, just roll out of the way and no problem....



Sam's holding seems to be the new wrestling/holding/wearing cherry and white from sky.

Look at the size of Sinfield compared to Tomkins and you're telling me he cant get his arm away? Why shouldnt Tomkins pull his arm away from his body to let Sinfield free? He doesnt want to knock on in doing so.

And if Sinfield pulls his arm free Tomkins lets the ball slip and gets a penalty for a ball steal.

Its gamesmanship pure and simple.

Thats bull Tomkins knows exactly what he is doing.

He wants Sinfield to try and pull his arm free so he can 'win' a penalty for a ball steal.

So why should Sam take his arm away from his chest and risk knocking on? Its the defenders responsibility to roll away!

Can't do no wrong Sam and I'm a Leyther. They should look at McGuires injury or maybe lack of. Personally I think that him and his boss should be hauled over the coals.

They both did apart from their arms which 'just happened' to be 'stuck' that was lucky wasn't it

Sam is clever, but Sinfield is a poophouse. Always playing the game on the margins and getting away with it. But the way Eddie was giving it too Sam, the guy is a disgrace to his proffession. Complete tool.

The penalty involving Snifield you can see Kevins hand around Sams chin. Or was it Sams hand that he had put all the way round his own kneck to make it look like Sinfields.

can some one tell me how tompkins manages to get opposing players to put their arms in there to trap them.
