3. joel tomkins
shaun was our best player by far, aint it great to have a winger who will take someone on on the outside? and hes from wigan! in amos and shaun weve got two good solid wingers who should be given the starting place every week, and shaun is also our top scorer with 4! time for a cheeky bet for top scorer in the league?
mark riddell had a good game and again looks like he is coming into form for the club, his distribution is fantastic and i think his defensive work needs to be credited aswell, he does work really hard around the ruck in defence.
joel tomkins done all the gritty work needed by the second row and i thought he ran his blood to water, fantastic effort by joel who worked hard.
after this i dont know where else to look, sam couldnt get a foot hold in the game (not surprising considering the ball we didnt have) our front line forwards except ocarroll where poor! leeds managed to control feka extremely well.
richards was his usual solid self at full back, and i would love to see the ball shipped wide to amos!-definately more penatraiting (sp?) than calderwood.

| 1. Shaun Ainscough - Good game apart from the miss kick for Donalds try
2. Mark Riddell - Good distribution and a superb turn of pace to cover the McGuire kick
3. Thomas Leuluai - Brilliant pass for Ainscoughs try, but like Tomkins played without the ball.
I actually thought Coley had another half decent game.

| 1. Leululai - I thought our best player on the night, World Cup appears to have given him the confidence to kick on.
2. Ainscough - A winger who can make breaks of his own doing at last
3. Hock - Could have had two tries, was unlucky with a couple of knock on decisions that should have been penalties, our only threat in the forwards.

Coley put in a massive amount of graft last night in both attack and defence. Ainsoughs fend on donald (and the aggresion on his face whilst doing it) was the highlight of the match for me. as for Tommy, he is proving his worth more and more now TB has departed, i really hope he his here for the long term alongside tompkins.

| how can you rate roberts at this moment? he has done nothing at all. Always gets outjumped for kicks to his corner. Doesnt make any yards when he gets the ball. He is offering nothing at the moment and id even try karl pryce on that wing next game because atleast he has abit of size about him and might be able to make some good yards. he seemed to have a good game when we played castleford.

it was a good kick against him. he never had the space to make a good run onto the ball in order too get any height on his jump. all the momentum was with the leeds attack. give him time and his timing will return. i have watched him in the NRL a few times and always thought he was pretty solid under the high ball. slightly off topic.... i like having Bails in at the for his defence but we really need a who can unleash his winger (Roberts) in a bit of space because the lad has got pace. all our play seems to run down the left hand side. i think that roberts will become a good singing for us. he just needs time and a bit more ball in hand.

| Not seen the replay yet but i am stunned people are mentioning Hock thought he was garbage last night, i made a thread at the start of the year about him being a coach killer and last night was exatly what i meant. Did the odd eye catching run, but made so many errors it was untrue, shocking ball retention and shirt grabbing again. This is a first impression so i guess my opinion may change if i can bring myseld to watch the game again.
1.Ainscough
2.Riddell
3.TL/Fielden
Given the flack Coley has gone i think it is only fair to congratulate him on an upturn in form in the last couple of weeks.

Jonh,
Watch the game again, I have and your correct, Hock had a nightmare.
Plus you've picked the same 1,2,3 as me.
The first Leeds try is dubious, the 3rd was a definite forward from Kirke, a Wigan player does not touch the ball otherwise Smith would have waved play on.

| Ainscough
Tommy
Riddell
Thought Fielden(apart from a couple of errors) and Richards were decent as well
Ainscough is going to be one cracking player there's no doubt about that. Can make something out of nothing which is fantastic
Tommy was a threat as usual and did a great pass to Ainscough for the first try but I would just like to see him try and take control of the game a bit more. I noticed Pat did near enough all the kicking when we were in our own half and I would like to see Tommy do more of it especially from our 40. Still think he's a very good 7 but a top class 9
Riddell is showing great improvement which is fantastic to see. Was amazed when he was the one who was back to put the ball out for a drop out off a McGuire kick

I disagree Rogues. Whilst it's true he had a couple moments of madness, for the most part it was because he was trying to force the issue and make something happen, albeit in positions he shouldn't have. Also two of his 'errors' should have been Wigan penalties as the ball was clearly reefed...how it was missed is beyond me! On the plus side he didn't react, even though he had every right to...something that shows a possible maturing?
Anyway, on to the positives. In a severely beaten pack, and despite being targetted all night by 3 and sometimes 4 ( ) defenders he still managed to cross the whitewash twice and always looked a handfull with ball in hand. I also thought he put some terrific work in in defence (don't think he missed a tackle, although I haven't seen the stats).
Good game...possibly not by his standards. Nightmare...not in a million years!
