I remember shouting because Carney let the ball bounce......
murryfield 2002 surely has to be the game of the decade!

| The Bradford game where we came back for the most part was a poor game and had me tearing my hair out at us not turning up. It obviously went on to become a sensational comeback to remember.
I'd agree with the Leeds away play off game. It just seemed to have abit of everything and huge moments to remember. I also used to love the Bradford home games in the early part of the decade. They used to draw big crowds and the 2 sides were pretty well matched(outside of grand finals). They had some great moments in them.

| In terms of drama and entertainment, Wigan fans have been spoiled for the vast majority of the last decade.
I feel extremely glad that I was introduced to the club as a kid. There's been some absolutely incredible games over the last 10 years.
Leeds away (2003) just about for me.

| The 24 - 22 win v Saints in April 2003 was the most special for me.
Wigan had about seven players who had been given the day off school to play in that game.
A Saints fan on Red Vee summed it up perfectly
"We played a bunch of KIDS and were humiliated"
"Personally, I'd slap a ban on the players off the field socialising around town until things improve: not necessarily a win, just some pride shown. It'd give them incentive to play well knowing they can have a good night out after the game if they win, not that they should need any incentive to go and play with some pride in the jersey anyway."
The Wigan report was a much more positive.

The 22-20 victory over Saints in March 2005 was a special game for me as it was my first live match watching Wigan. Everybody expected an easy Saints victory after we started to struggle under the Betts regime but our young players did us proud and defeated a very experienced and high quality Saints side in front of 25,004 fans, our biggest domestic gate at the JJB Stadium. Great way to start following Wigan properly.
They've let me down quite considerably since then mind but that's just sport.

I'd go along with that. If I remember rightly, when Ganson blew the final whistle you can hear him saying 'great game' to the players.
We've had some cracking games against Leeds the last 3 or 4 years

| What about Leeds 19-18? Burrows lining up that drop goal, the noise trying to put him off, Richards waving his arms desperatly, he kicks it, its going, going, its gona make it, MISSED!
That was awesome, same for Leeds away in 2003, and Bradford away in the play-off. The best bit of the Leeds away game had to be them (senior??) makiing a break in the dying seconds and Wigan bodies just appearing from no where to scramble back.
I hate this thread, it's reminded me how much I want to be at a game right now.

| That Hull F.C away game on an Easter Monday when Liam Colbon scored the winner, can't remember the year. I remember we had loads of injuries though.
