who would of thought that when we where considering shipping pat out to wakey that he would be a wigan legend? what ever happens this week in my opinion he is already at this status!

He's right up there as one of our greatest signings in my view. People look at Pat for scoring the tries, kicking the goals etc but it's also the unnoticed work. He works his tits off up the middle first or second tackle when our props are getting back from a clearance kick. His metre making his awesome, not far of the beast that is James Graham.

How many games over a season have they actually scored those points. If you are making comparisons then surely you would have to go over the actual number of games each player has played in. Missing through injury must come into it at some point. Still when all is said and done it is still an achievement. A hatrick and a couple of goals tonight should seal it.

Faz played (and kicked) in all 28 rounds of 2001



Pat has played (and kicked) in all 27 rounds of this year

8 points in the first half. 7 more needed. I think he'll do it now even if he doesn't score another try. Nailed on for MOS if he does it.

In some ways its fitting that he equaled the record

Hats off to him, as a warrington fan I would not agree with the above. Surely he has a long way to go before being compared to Faz.

I must admit that despite screaming "give it to pat" at every opportunity tonight a little voice in my head kept saying "what about Farrell?" it was very strange.

Sorry to be picky, but I thought his kicking was a bit off tonight. Maybe he was trying too hard or feeling the pressure.



Anyone see how far off that touchline kick was off target at the end as all the South Stand seemed to think it was over?



Also a pity he hit the post in the first half.



Having said that a brilliant season by the big lad, well done!

Why didn't they give him that ball at the scrum with a few minutes left? He even ran over to take it.

Legends in my eyes is'nt just about points scored,it's the attitude passion and the fact that some guys bleed cherry and white blood,edwards,faz,wane for example.Tonight I was wishing for pat to break the record because I love the fact that a wigan player is again pushing the limits.Pat will be an all time great in wigan history but even if he had beaten faz's record by 10 points I think the legand status still belongs to faz.just my opinion mind.
