Which is £54m over three years split between Setanta and Sky (with ESPN picking up the Setanta part), but which shows loads more games per week than our current deal. Their play-off final wasn't even live on Sky.'"

That's just the Sky part which includes all the England and other games (outside their Premiership). As a direct comparison the £54m I linked to is a like for like with SL
When you consider that you idenitfy above, the £54m for the Premiership, the deal for the Heineken Cup and BBC 6 Nations deal - it shows how far we are behind in income generation.

Its an improvement from 54m as its 2008 the article. Thats internationals and the prem. They also get good BBC money I would imagine and ESPN.

I remember reading a few months back how the RFU want around £200m for the next deal. As it stands they have a contract for each part, International, club, european,. They would like to combine them all for the £200m.

The one I linked to is specifically their Premiership deal, which while the detail was release in late 2008, only came into effect the season just finish and still has two more season to run. The one you linked to is about England games and a host of other crud (but not the Prem). However like we've both identified they earn huge amounts of money when you add in the other deals.
But in like for like terms, the domestic club deals aren't a million miles away from each other, however their deal is for more games per week than the two SL games per week Sky show.

| Those who said we wouldn't get half as much as last time look very silly now. I wonder if any will have the balls to come on here or the VT and admit they were wrong. I can think of one in particular who deserves a large portion of humble lobby.
