I don't know why McNamara doesn't see potential in Goulding, he's younger than Atkins, Cudjoe, Ablett, Ratchford........



His record is excellent, been in form this season, I would have picked him over Cudjoe anyday.......



He's versatile, can play centre and wing, maybe 13..........

Hes a good centre but in the words of Brian Carney "Hes not a world beater". Neither are the current England centres but what they have over Goulding in my eyes is potential. Both Atkins and Watkins are bigger faster and stronger with the potential of becoming the best. I dont think Goulding has the physical attributes to match the likes of Inglis Hodges Kenny Dowell in fact i have visions of them all trampelling all over him.

as has already been said the most talented centre is watkins. after that its up for grabs for the other spot.



personally i have serious doubts about atkins' defence and abletts attack.

Watkins will turn out to be a clone of Chev Walker. Atkins is not international class and Ablett is a joke. The problem we have is the standard in SL is poor in comparison to NRL so these mediocre players look world beaters until they meant better opposition.

Defense wins matchs, I can't think of a better defensive centre........ (maybe Yeaman but he's past his best)

I've watched Walker and Watkins since both made their debut at Leeds and they are completely different players, how they could be compared is beyond me.

I would say Atkins defence is better than Watkins, Ablett may not score loads but he nearly always scores when it matters in the big games.

I'm not sure really. Watkins tackling and positioning is as good as Atkins, if not better, Atkins defence is poor for an experienced centre IMO. Its his decsion making that lets him down at times. But at only 21 playing in a position more often than not that has a higher workload than any other position in the backs is no real surprise.



He's the best right centre we've got available. He's a natural centre with the pace, feet and hands to be the best centre this country has produced in a long time.

You base your opinion on views through cherry & white glasses or stats? If it's the latter there is very little to back up your argument.
