Some of our attacking play yesterday was a joy to watch, our first try had some great offloads in it.

The report mentions more then one coach so clearly its not an anti Wigan thing because "its hard to defeat us" as there is another club doing it according to Hetherington

For me it's clearly an anti-Wigan statement from Hetherington. The Giants and Nathan Brown also get a mention because of there use of similar tactics to ourselves.



As you'll be aware this isn't the first criticism of Wigan's style of play this year and no doubt it won't be the last. It just infuriates me that a rival chairman would come out and make derogatory comments clearly directed at two other clubs about the style of play they choose to play.

For me watching defense is as good as watching attack. It takes some good rugby to get through our defense at the min. I do think some one from the club needs top step up and speak out regarding these comments. Too many people have too much to say about Wigan's tactics.



Wigan are not doing anything wrong in the ruck.



Its a joy to watch and others are jealous.

isn't it a coincidence that the 2 games at home this year where we murdered hull and wakefield with some superb attacking rugby end up with 2 bitter yorkshire coaches (agar and e.t) slagging off our tactics to disguise their own shortcomings. unfortunately the bandwagon is now growing and this will always be in the minds of the match officials when we play.

What do these people want to see. Games finishing 64 - 48? A try scored of each set of six. Defense plays a vital part in our game and imo excellent defense is just as enjoyable as excellent attack. I do agree that the play the ball (that's the time between the ref calling held and the player playing the ball) can't be too slow however it isn't. Not in wigan's or anyone elses games. This is not Hetherington worrying about the state of the game it's a fear that Leeds are about to be knocked of their perch. Next it will be wires offloads or a st helens quick play the ball.

Did Leeds not beat you with an excellent defensive display, the one you lot are saying Wigan have had all season but are now been penalised over. I fail to see how Hetheringtons and Sinfields comments after the game about it been slower than average SL games influenced the officials before the game.

You miss the point. Apparently Wire have the best defence in the league at present, yet they play open, pacey, try-scoring rugby league. Wigan don't. They play to slow the game down, which is a different approach from Wire yet Wire have the best defence in the league at present ....
