I disagree mate, I look at the squad and their are some good players there who could form a competitive team if well coached and well drilled.



There is no was in the world the Wakey team should have got within 20 points of Wigan last week if Noble had the ability to get the best out of his players.



It's time for him to walk away.

Personally I thought we played pretty well tonight and was unlucky in not getting the 2 points in the end, we created enough chances (notice the word create) just couldn't finish them off sadly, Goulding could have scored 3 at least. It is definitely an improvment from last week and had our support play been better we would have won tonight.



But anyway, I thought Tim Smith was excellent as was the captain along with Joel Tomkins, Feka and Hock.



There was some encouraging signs aswell as the obvious poor ones, but I think there's more positives to take from this week compared to last week even though we have lost again. But as the saying goes, it's a marathon not a sprint and I seen enough in the team tonight to convince me that we will improve as the season goes on.

Why didn't he score them? Lack of pace or lace of any real ability?

The latter, a fit Karl Pryce would have had them.

Which shows the real problem with Goulding - that is seemingly taboo around here - he isn't good enough, never has been.

Karl Pryce would have scored them but only because he is twice the size of Goulding. His size let him down with the 1 on 1's.

I agree with the earlier poster, we had plenty of chances in the second half but the final touch wasn't there. Combine that quite a few silly errors early in the tackle count every time we got in their half and we got knackered, we seemed to be praying for the hooter after the last try when Hull were chasing another one. I'm still optimistic about the season though, we just need to handle the ball better. I thought our attack was a bit one dimensional as well, we took five drives up the middle then kicked to Richards or we took four drives and passed it out to the wing.

The bottom line is that Wigan are a poorly conditioned and poorly prepared team, unfortunately.



This has been obvious for the last couple of seasons.



IL (and to the extent its a coaching issue BN) appear not to be interested in sorting things out.



Until they wake up to the issues (or the players take more responsibility for their own fitness etc) we can only expect medicocrity at best.
