Briscoe did naff all yesterday whilst, Manfredi was one of the best on the pitch, with a particularly spectacular try contesting England's best winger!

Manfredi has stood out in almost every game he's played this year.

What's fantastic is that England has a glut of wing options - Burgess, Manfredi, Hall, Briscoe, McGillvary are all players you couldn't really grumble about being selected. It's a real shame Reed got himself injured in the NRL GF, as he's been in really good nick this year.



Oddly, England's pack seems again to be the likely weakness to me. With Sam Burgess on the dark side and George injured, we don't really have any standout forwards. Its not that long ago that our best players relative to Aus/NZ were all in the pack.

True. I think Walmsley is a bigger loss then has really been mentioned because he really added that size that is comparable to the Kiwi set.
