| Quote ToffeeLady="ToffeeLady"I know it sounds like it but I really don't think I'm being biased. Everything I've said is backed up by what he's done on the pitch. I think he's much better than Briscoe and McGillvary, he was the best winger last night and the previous week.'"
A big claim.....but yes from what I've seen of him he looks a good old fashioned winger with bags of confidence and strength (the contest with Hall was pretty special) On the Leeds forum I mentioned him (and of course Williams) as been one of your stand out players.
But as was pointed out to me by another poster over there, won't you be switching him to Left wing next season with Charnley reclaiming the Right wing slot?

| I was hoping Tomkins would pull out, two serious injuries this year and I doubt he's had a proper off season since he got into our first team, a break would do him the world of good.

Check the stats. Or just watch the game rather than going off somebodies reputation.
Briscoe did naff all yesterday whilst, Manfredi was one of the best on the pitch, with a particularly spectacular try contesting England's best winger!
Manfredi has stood out in almost every game he's played this year.
Briscoe is still a great player.

Who do you suggest?
I agree his form isn't great.
You started the question I've replied so I'm interested in your thoughts.

Wigan lost to a team a man down this year.

I hope not.
He has a great step off his right foot.
That doesn't work as well out on the left wing.

| What's fantastic is that England has a glut of wing options - Burgess, Manfredi, Hall, Briscoe, McGillvary are all players you couldn't really grumble about being selected. It's a real shame Reed got himself injured in the NRL GF, as he's been in really good nick this year.
Oddly, England's pack seems again to be the likely weakness to me. With Sam Burgess on the dark side and George injured, we don't really have any standout forwards. Its not that long ago that our best players relative to Aus/NZ were all in the pack.

| True. I think Walmsley is a bigger loss then has really been mentioned because he really added that size that is comparable to the Kiwi set.
We look a bit leightweight aside from Tom Burgess.
